Why does Philippians not have the corrections and reproofs that Corinthians has?

The Philippians were spiritually mature believers, described as the epitome and joy of the apostle Paul. Because they were not carnal and beset by the same moral problems and hang-ups as the Corinthians, Paul’s letter to them does not contain the corrections and reproofs found in Corinthians or Galatians.

Les explains that the Corinthians were carnal Christians, recently converted out of paganism and still struggling with immoral practices and hang-ups from their past. Even so, they were in grace and came behind in no gift; all God’s gifts were available to them as well as to the more spiritual Philippians. That contrast is why the letter to Philippi, called Philippians, does not have all the corrections and reproofs that Corinthians has, or even Galatians. The Philippians were the very epitome and joy of the apostle Paul, while Corinth was still beset with problems and hang-ups.
