Why does Philippians have fewer corrections and reproofs than Corinthians?

Philippians received fewer corrections and reproofs because those believers were the epitome and joy of the apostle Paul, whereas the Corinthians were carnal, recently converted out of paganism, and still struggling with immoral practices and hang-ups from their past. Both were in grace and had access to God's gifts, but Corinth's condition required more reproof.

Les explains that the Corinthians were carnal, the very opposite of mature spiritual Christians. They had recently converted out of paganism and still had hang-ups with immoral practices, things they did not think were wrong because their families and generations before them had done them, so it was hard to break from the past. In spite of their problems, they were in grace and came behind in no gift; all the gifts God was ready to give were available to these carnal Corinthians as maybe for the more spiritual Philippians. That is why the letter to Philippi, the book we call Philippians, does not have all the corrections and reproofs that Corinthians have, or even Galatians. The Philippians were the very epitome and joy of the apostle Paul, and the Thessalonians were that kind of people too. But Corinth was still beset with all these problems and hang-ups, though everything God was ready to pour out was available to them as well as to spiritually giant type of people. They were waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
