When does a believer experience all of God's grace?

A believer experiences all of God's grace at the moment of salvation, when they believe. Every person saved by grace experiences all of God's grace immediately upon believing, and from that position in grace they grow. Growth follows, but grace is fully experienced at faith.

Les explains that every last person saved by the grace of God at salvation experiences all of God's grace. All of God's grace is experienced the moment we believe, but we have a long way to go in our growth. He compares this to infant believers, who cannot be expected to suddenly be mature or have the same spiritual discoveries as older Christians. These Corinthians were saved out of abject paganism, idolatry, and immorality, so they needed a time of nurturing and growth, but only by the grace of God. Les says we grow in grace, not into grace; we do not begin to grow and then finally appropriate grace. All of God's grace has been poured out on us the moment we believe, and from that position in grace we grow. Since we are under grace and not under law, nothing is forced upon us—that is the beauty of grace.
