Les Feldick Bible Study

Why should grace-age believers study Genesis?

Grace-age believers should study Genesis because it records the beginnings of all things and supplies the foundation for what they believe. Though the Old Testament does not contain grace-and-salvation doctrine, the Body of Christ, or the Rapture, Genesis still provides essential background and foundational understanding for grace-age faith.

Les teaches that although the Old Testament was written to Israel under the Law and does not contain doctrine about grace and salvation, the Body of Christ, or the Rapture, that does not mean believers should not study it. He says he loves to teach Genesis and could teach it year in and year out, because everything had its beginnings there. Genesis is where grace-age believers get the foundation for what they believe. He also notes that the Gospel accounts can provide perfect applications even though spoken to Israel under the Law.
