What is our attitude toward others when God's love is imparted to us?
When God's love is imparted to believers, that same kind of love becomes their attitude toward the people around them, and even their enemies. Such love works no ill to a neighbor, refuses to avenge wrongs, and lets God take care of vengeance, thereby fulfilling the law.
Les teaches that the epitome of love was expressed at the cross, where Christ's love for lost mankind set His eyes as flint to the cross; love nailed Him and caused God to pour out mercy. When that love has been imparted to believers, it becomes sensible that the same kind of love should be their attitude toward the people around them, and yes, even their enemies. If love is operating, believers are not going to avenge others; they let God take care of that. Love is the fulfilling of the law.
