Why does sin not have dominion over a believer?

Sin does not have dominion over a believer because Romans 6:14 declares the old Adam shall not rule them; they are not under the Law but under Grace. The Law’s ritual and stipulations have been set aside, so Grace, not sin, governs the believer.

Les teaches from Romans 6:14 that sin, or the old Adam, shall not have dominion over the believer because the believer is not under the Law but under Grace. He explains this means we are not under the ritual and stipulations of Israel’s Law or the demands of Judaism, all of which have been set aside, and we are now under Grace. Yet he stresses that Grace is not license.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
