Why don't more people who can teach actually teach?
They do not teach because of fear—fear of getting up in front of others, even a small group of peers. Many are scared to death as beginners, but God can overcome that fear. The gift of teaching comes from God, not self.
Les explains that while not everybody can teach, a lot more people can teach than actually do. The reason is fear—they are always afraid, just as he used to be. He was scared to death to get up in front of even ten of his own peers when he was a kid. But God overcame that fear, and he is not ashamed to say he knows God gave him the gift of teaching. He clarifies it isn't him, it's Him. The same applies to any gift: don't ever say, 'Boy, look what I can do,' because it's just a gift God has given and designated.
