What does God do when we believe the gospel with all our heart?
When a person believes the gospel with all their heart, God opens up their whole ability to believe. He comes in, makes them a new person, and causes these things to become easy to comprehend, which before were very hard to comprehend.
Les explains that when the Scripture says Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead, God expects us to believe it. When we believe it with all our heart, God opens up our whole ability to believe. He comes in, He makes us a new person, and all these things become easy to comprehend, which before were just so hard to comprehend. In the surrounding context, Les also notes that God concluded Israel in unbelief because of their total rejection, so that He might have mercy upon all—Jew and Gentile, the whole human race.
