Who does God turn to after He finishes the Gentile Body of Christ?
After completing His work with the Gentile Body of Christ, God turns to the Jew. Once the Church is raptured and gone, Israel must pass through the seven-year tribulation. During that period God starts dealing with Israel, and their blindness falls away as the tribulation begins, before they enjoy the blessings of Christ’s return.
Les explains that believers are added to the Body one at a time, like a fetus in the womb, until the last person is placed in the Body of Christ. When the Body is complete, God will deliver it from its earthly confines, and the Church will be raptured out, which becomes the “until” of Romans 11:25. As soon as God has completed His work with the Gentile Body of Christ, He turns to the Jew. The Jew must endure the seven years of tribulation before enjoying all the blessings of Christ’s return. Les notes that when the Church is gone, II Thessalonians chapter 2 indicates the Antichrist appears, the world enters the seven years, and God predominantly starts dealing with Israel. Their blindness falls away as the Church is gone and the tribulation begins. Les also contrasts the fullness of the Gentiles in Romans 11—Church Age believers—with Luke 21, which speaks of unbelieving Gentiles, the unsaved world of Gentiledom.
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
