How is the church being formed during this present age?
The church, which is His body, is being formed during this present age by predominantly Gentiles who are being called out from amongst whatever they are, pagans or whatever, and becoming members of the Body of Christ. God is taking out of the Gentiles a people for His name.
Les teaches that in Acts 15 James explains how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name, and that people is the church, which is His body. For the last 1900 and plus years, the church has been formed by predominantly Gentiles who are called out from amongst whatever they are, pagans or whatever, and become members of the Body of Christ. Les also notes that as soon as this began, the Jews got envious and opposed it everywhere Paul went, and God put blindness upon the nation. Yet God deals with the Jew on two levels, national and personal, and national blindness does not take away the personal opportunity for salvation.
