Why was Paul made a minister according to the dispensation of God given to him?

Paul was made a minister according to the dispensation of God given to him so as to fulfill, or complete, the Word of God. That commission centered on making manifest the mystery hidden from ages and generations, now revealed concerning Gentile believers in the body.

Les explains from Colossians 1:25-26 that Paul says he was made a minister according to the dispensation of God given to him for the believers, and the order is important: it was to fulfill or complete the Word of God. That fulfillment concerns the mystery, the secret hid from ages and from generations but now made manifest. Les emphasizes that these Pauline truths were held in the mind of God; Israel never had a concept of them, and the Twelve had no concept of them. Then Saul of Tarsus, saved by grace, is the one to whom God reveals the secrets, the mysteries. Therefore he was given authority to pen these epistles, which become the central part of the Scriptures, because he is the one to whom God revealed the mysteries. The mystery was hid from ages and generations but is now made manifest.
