How did Paul learn the dispensation of the grace of God?
Paul learned the dispensation of the grace of God by revelation. In Ephesians 3, Paul writes that this dispensation was given to him for the Gentiles, and that by revelation God made known unto him the mystery or secret of Christ—truth that no one else before had ever had an inkling of.
Les teaches that Ephesians 3 begins with Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ, writing primarily to Gentiles. Paul speaks of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to him to pass on to them. Then verse 3 explains the process: it came by revelation. Les emphasizes that revelation means God revealed something that had never been revealed before, the mystery or secret of Christ. This connects with the earlier point that the everlasting God has the sovereign capability of keeping things secret until His time to reveal them.
