Why has the Gospel been going to the Gentiles?

God set Israel aside and broke them off from the fatness of the root of Abraham, then graciously placed the Gentile system into the position Israel enjoyed in the Old Testament. Gentiles now rest on Abraham's root and feast on the promises God made to Abraham, so the Gospel has been going to them.

Les explains that God had promised Abraham that he would be a blessing to all the rest of the world too, but He could not do it two times at once. Therefore, He set Israel aside, broke them off from the fatness of the root of Abraham, and put in the Gentile system as a group of people. By the grace of God, the whole Gentile system was placed into the position Israel enjoyed in the Old Testament. Gentiles now rest on the root of Abraham—not becoming Jews, but merely feasting off what God had promised Abraham. As the Gentile system feasts on all the blessings of the Father of Israel, the Gospel has been going to the Gentile, who has just as much opportunity at salvation and a relationship with God as Israel did.
