What is Israel's only hope for the future?

Israel's only hope for the future is the coming of their King, the Messiah. As they try to assimilate among the Gentile nations, they dig themselves deeper into a hole, but one day soon they will have no hope except His coming. He will come, even though they first embrace a false king, the Antichrist.

Les explains that Israel wants their economy to mesh with the European common market and to compete with the Gentile nations, but God says they are a separated people, and they haven't learned their lesson. As they try to become just another member of the family of nations, they get deeper into the hole they are digging and backed into a corner. Les emphasizes that we are getting closer to the day when Israel will have no hope except the coming of their king, and he will come. Les notes that they will first accept the false king, the Antichrist, as Jesus said in John's Gospel (paraphrased) that another will come in his name and they will embrace him. Les has had Jewish people describe what they look for in their Messiah—a superman with military, economic, and charismatic qualities—and he tells them they are describing the Antichrist, but they don't see it. Yet what is left for the nation is their fullness; all the Old Testament covenant promises are still coming, withheld for almost 2,000 years, but God hasn't forgotten them.
