Do Jewish people have to give up their works religion to be saved by grace?

Yes. Jewish people must drop their works religion of Judaism to be saved by the gospel of grace. They cannot be saved by keeping Jewish feast days or ceremonies. Jew and Gentile are alike unworthy and without hope, and salvation is no more of works; if it is of works, it is no more grace.

Les explains that for these Jews it is no different than for Gentiles. Paul says there is no difference: a Jew does not come in on a different or lower level; all are unworthy and without hope. The Jew has to be saved the same way we are today. Verse 6 explains that if it is by grace, that gospel by which we are saved, then it is no more of works. Even Jewish people must understand that if they are going to be saved by this gospel of grace, they have to drop all their works religion of Judaism. As beautiful as their ceremonies may be, and as beautifully as their Passover service and feast days may picture the program of grace, they are not going to be saved by keeping those Jewish feast celebrations. They have to come away from that and realize it is not by works, not by keeping any feast days, but it is all of grace. There can be no works for a Jew any more than for a Gentile. If it is of works, then it is no more grace; otherwise work is no more work.
