Les Feldick Bible Study

What did the moving company worker say about a house party?

A young worker in a moving business told his employer he had been invited to a house party, but the drugs and sex there became so awful that he had to leave. He cited it as evidence that the times are wicked.

Les explains that one of his listeners, saved out of abject ungodliness, ran a large moving business and hired about 25 or 30 strong young men. One of those workers came to him and said, 'We're living in wicked times, aren't we?' When asked why he thought so, the worker replied that he had been invited to a house party where the drugs and sex got so awful he had to leave. Les uses this as one instance among several to show that even a person from that kind of lifestyle could not stand it, revealing the depths to which people are going. He says this breakdown in morality and loosening of godly restraints is happening not just in big cities but wherever you go, and it is mushrooming. Les connects it to the nearness of the end, while insisting he is not setting dates, being an alarmist, or teaching sensationalism, and he points to Luke 21.
