What does the seed of the woman become in relation to our salvation experience?

The seed of the woman is Jesus Christ, the promised One from Genesis 3. He went to the cross, was raised from the dead, and thereby became the very epitome of the salvation experience. This blessing flows through the Abrahamic covenant, through whom all nations are blessed.

Les teaches that the term “seed of the woman” is always a reference to Jesus Christ, the One promised way back in Genesis chapter 3. He also connects it with “and to thy seed, who is Christ,” showing that this includes the seed of Abraham as well as the seed of the woman. All of this falls back on the Abrahamic covenant of Genesis chapter 12, that through that man all the nations of the world would be blessed. That blessing comes through the seed of the woman, who would go to the cross, who would be raised from the dead, and would become the very epitome of our salvation experience.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
