Do God's covenants with Abraham and the patriarchs still stand after thousands of years?

Yes. God's covenants with Abraham, David, Isaac, and the patriarchs remain absolute after thousands of years. Because God Himself made them, no one could annul, abridge, or add to them; they stood settled in concrete and are settled forever. No human being can alter what God confirmed.

Les explains that Paul uses the analogy of a man's covenant: once it is confirmed, no one disannuls it or adds to it. Then the same principle applies to God's covenants with Abraham, David, Isaac, and the other patriarchs. None of those great men could take away a single word or add to it; it stood settled in concrete because God was the one who made it. Even though thousands of years of time may have elapsed, these covenants are still absolute. No one can annul them, no one can abridge them; they are settled forever. The blessing of Abraham comes to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, and the promise of the Spirit is received not through Judaism or law keeping but through faith, simply believing the Word. Paul also notes that the promises were made to Abraham and his seed, not to seeds plural as of many, but as of one.

Galatians 3:15

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Why can no one annul or change God's covenant with Abraham or David?

God's covenants with Abraham, David, Isaac, and the other patriarchs cannot be annulled, abridged, or added to because God made them, so even thousands of years later they remain absolutely settled forever.
