Why was Jesus born of Mary and yet from the Father?
Jesus was born of Mary to possess the human element, yet He was from the Father to receive the divine attribute of incorruption. Consequently His body did not see corruption in the tomb, and His blood was divine and sinless, so it could pay the sin debt.
Les explains that Christ was born of the human element, Mary, but from the Father, which gave Him the divine attribute of incorruption. His body did not suffer corruption in the tomb; it was incorruptible. His blood was not corrupted but was divine and sinless. Otherwise, it could never have paid the sin debt of humanity. Les also points to the angel's announcement to Mary that she would conceive and bear a son named Jesus, which in Hebrew meant Yeshua, or the Savior. He then connects this to Romans 1, where Paul writes that the gospel was promised before by God's prophets in the Holy Scriptures, including all aspects of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
