What did the angel tell Mary?
The angel told Mary she would conceive and bear a son, and she was to call His name Jesus, which in Hebrew meant Yeshua, or the Savior. This announcement, often called the Annunciation, declared the coming of the Savior who would be born of the human element, Mary, but from the Father.
Les explains that this event is often called the Annunciation, where the angel appeared to Mary. The angel announced, 'Thou shalt conceive, and thou shalt have a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus,' which in the Hebrew meant Yeshua, or the Savior. Les connects this to the principle that Christ was born of the human element, Mary, but from the Father, giving Him the divine attribute of incorruption. His body did not suffer corruption in the tomb; His blood was not corrupted but was divine and sinless, otherwise it could never have paid our sin debt. These principles carried all the way up through human history and the Scriptures.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
