How did the people being described treat the God who created everything?
They reduce the Creator of everything to nothing more than someone like one of the other gods of the planet. They treat Him as merely one among many gods, and they do it every day, despite how beyond understanding such behavior is.
Les explains that the God who is the Creator of everything that has ever been created is reduced by these people to nothing more than someone like one of the other gods of the planet. He notes that this is past understanding, yet they do it every day. Paul is referring to those who came out of all the things Israel had enjoyed—the covenants given to the patriarchs—but Les says the issue goes further back. He takes it to Genesis 3, where Adam and Eve had just eaten the forbidden fruit, fallen, and sinned against their God, which God knew they would do. Just as soon as they plunged everything under the curse, God immediately promised a Redeemer, Genesis 3:15.
