How can Gentiles be counted as the seed of Abraham if they are not Jewish by blood?

Gentiles are counted as Abraham's seed not by acquiring Jewish blood, but by virtue of the spiritual promises made to Abraham. Through those promises, Gentiles now enjoy and experience the grace-age promises, as Paul later explains in Galatians. It is spiritual, not ethnic.

Les teaches that the promise to Abraham is twofold. In the star promise, God brought Abraham out under the night sky and said to count the stars, “so shall thy seed be.” Les explains this is where Paul gets in Galatians that we are of the seed of Abraham, even we as Gentiles. This does not mean Gentiles become Jewish blood; rather, by virtue of the spiritual promises to Abraham, Gentiles now enjoy and experience the grace-age promises. Les also points back to Genesis 13:16, where God promised Abraham seed as the dust of the earth. That gives two different realms: the stars are heavenly, and the dust is earthly.

Galatians 3:29

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
