What happens when a Christian sins?

When a Christian sins, he has an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous. That advocate intercedes for him continually, present twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year. All three persons of the Trinity are constantly working on the believer's behalf.

Les teaches that sin is a reality we must admit: we are going to sin. But if any man sins, there is an advocate and intercessor with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous. The Holy Spirit also intercedes on our behalf, so all three persons of the Trinity are involved in our prayer line and are constantly working for us. Jesus is there twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year. Though many believers around the world approach the throne room at any moment, God hears everyone as an individual, not as a jumble of voices. He searches the hearts and knows the mind of the Spirit.

1 John 2:1
