Why is the Blessed Hope not an escape or cop-out for believers?
The Blessed Hope is not a cop-out because believers are suddenly translated from this life to the eternal, receiving new bodies in an instant to be with the Lord forever. It is the believer's expectation according to Paul's writings, not an avoidance of reality.
Les explains that all creation—the mountains, rocks, rivers, birds, and animals—is waiting for the day when the children of God will be manifested, which means the rapture. The Blessed Hope is not a cop-out; it is the sudden translation from this life to the eternal with new bodies, to be with the Lord forever in an instant. It may take place today, tomorrow, or later, and no dates are set. As globalism, global religion, global economies, and global government appear, it signals that the Antichrist is near. But before that, believers will be snatched away, caught up in 1 Thessalonians, to meet the Lord in the air. Creation looks for that day because it triggers the final days of the curse, when the seven-year tribulation pays off Satan's mortgage, as studied in Revelation chapter 5.
