Why is the rapture called the Blessed Hope rather than a cop-out?
According to Paul's writings, believers call it the Blessed Hope because they will be suddenly translated from this life to the eternal with new bodies, to be with the Lord forever in an instant. It is not a cop-out; it is the sure hope of being caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
Les explains that all creation is waiting for the manifestation of the children of God. He says this is what the believer calls the Blessed Hope. It is not a cop-out, but the sudden translation from this life to the eternal with new bodies, to be with the Lord forever in an instant. Les notes we do not know the timing and do not set dates. Before the Antichrist appears under the global environment, believers will be snatched away, caught up in 1 Thessalonians, and meet the Lord in the air. All creation looks for that day because it triggers the final days of the curse, the seven years of tribulation being God's way of paying off Satan's mortgage, as studied in Revelation chapter 5.
