What is the result of being spiritually minded?

Paul writes that to be spiritually minded is life and peace. This life is eternal life, which believers will have forever and ever. It contrasts with the carnal mind, which is death, spiritual death, and eternal doom. The spiritually minded person has experienced new birth and minds the things of the Spirit.

Les teaches that being spiritually minded means a person has experienced the new birth and is now a child of God, so they mind the things of the Spirit. The result is life and peace, and that life is eternal life, which believers will have forever and ever. This contrasts with the carnal or fleshly mind, which is death—spiritual death and eternal doom—and is enmity against God, the mind we inherited from Adam. Les also emphasizes that Paul writes to believers to enhance their faith and give them roots, so they are not tossed about by every wind of doctrine, especially as deception floods the country in the end times.

Romans 8:6

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
