Why does Les have a growing burden for lost people?
The teacher's burden for the lost grows because he has come to realize how many people, including church attendees, have never had a genuine salvation experience. This awareness of widespread lack of true conversion increases his concern for those who do not yet believe.
Les explains that he stressed to his classes that he is getting more and more of a burden for lost people than ever before, because he is realizing how many, even church people, have never had a real salvation experience. This growing concern connects with the broader context of deception and false teaching flooding the country, which he identifies as part of the end times scenario. Those things are written to believers, but they also impact those who do not as yet believe, deepening his burden for the lost.
