Was the Roman destruction of the Jewish temple prophesied in the Bible?

Yes. Scripture foretold it: the temple would be taken down rock by rock and stone by stone, and the prophet had written this would happen. God brought the Roman army under Titus to besiege the city, destroy it, and disperse Israel among the nations as discipline.

Les teaches that this was discipline again: God brought in the Roman army under Titus, who besieged the city. When Titus gained entrance, it was the greatest mayhem imaginable, and the Roman legions destroyed Jews by the thousands. They took the temple down rock by rock, stone by stone, as the prophet had written would happen. Israel was then dispersed into every nation on earth. Later, around the turn of the century, they began coming back, setting up kibbutzes, and the nation of Israel made its appearance. Les ties this to God's promise that His mercy would never depart from the nation of Israel.
