Is God one God or three persons?

God is one God existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. Scripture presents all three persons of the Godhead within a few verses, and the term God refers to the triune God, the whole Godhead. They are three distinct entities, yet one God.

Les explains from Romans chapter 8 that all three persons of the Godhead appear within just a few verses. He notes that some refuse to believe there is a Trinity and say God is One; yes God is One, but He is in three persons. Les says the term God means the triune God, the whole Godhead as Paul calls it: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit—three distinct entities, and yet one God.
