What does the indwelling Holy Spirit do for our weaknesses?

The indwelling Holy Spirit helps our infirmities and weaknesses. Since we deal with the invisible realm of the Spirit, there is not much we can do about it ourselves; therefore, the proper response is to let God do it in our weakness.

Les explains that Romans 8 moves from faith and hope—waiting patiently for what we do not yet see—into a deeper area. The Holy Spirit now indwells believers, according to Paul's teaching, and He helps their infirmities, that is, their weaknesses. Because these matters are invisible and belong to the realm of the Spirit, there is not much we can do about them ourselves. The believer is simply to let God do it, waiting patiently and never losing sight that what is hoped for will come.

Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
