Les Feldick Bible Study

What is all creation waiting for in Romans 8?

All creation waits for the day when the children of God are manifested, the Blessed Hope when believers are translated from this life to eternal life with new bodies, caught up to meet the Lord, which triggers the final days of the curse.

Les explains that everything in nature, including the mountains, rocks, rivers, birds, and animals, is waiting for the day when the children of God will be manifested. He identifies this as the believer's Blessed Hope: being translated suddenly from this life into eternity with new bodies to be with the Lord forever. All creation looks for that day because it will trigger the final days of the curse. Les also notes that before the Antichrist appears, believers will be snatched away and caught up to meet the Lord in the air, as in 1 Thessalonians, while the seven-year tribulation is God's way of paying off Satan's mortgage, a theme studied in Revelation chapter 5.
