What prayer should I say to ask God to save me?
Salvation prayer should be verbalized aloud, not merely assumed in the heart. Say, 'Lord, I want you to save me. I believe that what You have done, You have done on my behalf.' Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, and you shall be saved.
Les explains that we should verbalize our prayer out loud, not just assume God reads the heart, although He can. He says to say, 'Lord, I want you to save me. I believe that what you've done, you've done on my behalf.' Verse 9 says to confess with thy mouth verbally the Lord Jesus. After the cross and resurrection, Jesus becomes Lord. Believing is an attitude of the heart, not something done with hands or feet. If you believe Christ died, was buried, and rose again, the promise is thou shalt be saved. God said it.
