Where does the old Adamic nature lead?
The old Adamic nature that every person is born with has only one direction: death, and that means eternal death. Everything a lost person does, whether good or bad, piles up wages for eternal doom, because sin's wages are death, as Scripture declares.
Les explains that Romans 6:23 states the wages of sin are death, and the old Adamic nature we are born with has only one direction—death, eternal death. He points out that wages are what you work for, never a gift; everything a lost person does, good or bad, is piling up wages for eternal doom. The flip side is that God's gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ, which is not earned by any work.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
