What does God see at the moment of saving faith?

At the moment of saving faith, God sees the believer in the person of Christ on the cross. The old Adam is reckoned crucified and declared dead in God's mind, though he remains an influence in the Christian life. This is possible because God is omnipotent and omniscient.

Les explains that Paul writes as the believer who has reckoned old Adam as crucified and dead, but old Adam is still left as an influence even in the Christian life. Les maintains that old Adam is crucified and declared dead in the mind of God. The moment a person believes the Gospel, God saw that person in the person of Christ on the cross. Les notes this requires God to be the omnipotent, omniscient God that He is, because with Him nothing is impossible. This stands in contrast to every child of Adam being sold under the curse and under the old Adam.
