Does Romans 7 describe the Ten Commandments as holy, perfect, and ordained to life?

The Mosaic Ten Commandments are presented as holy, perfect, and ordained to life in Romans 7. The commandment is holy and perfect, yet it became unto death because it convicted the lawbreaker. This is the very law that was ordained to life but proved to be death to the guilty sinner.

Les teaches that in Romans chapter 7 the commandment refers to the Mosaic Ten Commandments, which were ordained to life and are holy and perfect. He explains that Paul found the law to be unto death because when old Adam and Saul woke up and realized the law was condemning him, it convicted him. The law claimed he had only one prospect as a lawbreaker: eternal death. Les notes that the commandment deceived Paul and by it slew him, and he directs listeners back to Romans 7:5 to compare Scripture with Scripture.

Romans 7:10

And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
