What is the second death in the Bible?
The second death is spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. It is the eternal doom of being sent away from God's presence at the great white throne, never again to have contact or conversation with the Creator, totally separated.
Les teaches that the second death is spiritual death, meaning separation from God. He points to chapter 20, verses 11 through 15, at the great white throne, where the unsaved are sent to their eternal doom, never again to have any contact or conversation with their Creator God, totally separated. In contrast, salvation frees a person from old Adam, producing fruit unto holiness in this life and everlasting life in God's presence.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
