Does being a believer make you automatically rich?
No. It is not true that if you are a believer you will automatically become a millionaire; that is not in the cards at all. Believers may be rich, poor, or somewhere in between, yet they have a satisfying life God imparted during this earthly sojourn.
Les teaches that God does not mandate believers to be poor as paupers, but he also disagrees with those who say believers automatically become millionaires—'that's not in the cards at all.' Whether rich, poor, or somewhere in between, believers have the satisfying life God has imparted to them in this earthly sojourn. He then reads verse 13, urging believers to yield themselves unto God as those alive from the dead and to present their members as instruments of righteousness unto God. In verses 14-15, he stresses that sin (old Adam) shall not have dominion, because believers are not under law but under grace.
