Les Feldick Bible Study

What is the 'But God' flip side for those who were naturally children of wrath?

The 'But God' flip side is that we are no longer in the old lifestyle. Because of God's grace and His mercy, we now experience His love. The old condition of being by nature children of wrath is therefore changed through God's grace and mercy.

Les teaches that after describing the fleshly desires and being by nature children of wrath even as others, verse 4 introduces the flip side: 'But God.' He explains that the flip side means we are no longer in that old lifestyle; now, because of God's grace and His mercy, we are experiencing His love. He also mentions the tremendous verses and 'You hath he quickened.' Connecting this to Romans 6, Les shows that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we also come out of a deadness and experience a new life.
