How does grace reign in contrast to old Adam?
Grace reigns like a king through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord, overwhelming old Adam. Old Adam reigned under death and misery because of man's sinful nature. The choice is to let old Adam rule supreme or let God's grace come in, rule supreme, and bring eternal life.
Les teaches that old Adam has reigned under death and misery, and the world's misery is caused by old Adam, man's sinful nature. In contrast, grace reigns like a king through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Grace can come in and overwhelm old Adam so God's grace rules supreme. This is a matter of choice, and God will not force anybody. Les explains that we should not corner people or force things down their throats; rather, as the Lord creates interest and people ask questions, be ready with all Scripture to bring them to a knowledge of what the book is trying to say. Christianity is narrow, and Scripture says there is no other name given under heaven among men whereby we must be saved.
