Can God's grace overwhelm old Adam and rule in a person's life?

Les explains that a person can either let old Adam rule supreme or let the grace of God come in and overwhelm old Adam so that God’s grace rules supreme. This is where the matter of choice comes in, because God is not going to force anybody. Old Adam has reigned under death, misery, and man’s sinful nature, but grace can reign like a king through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Les also says Christians should not corner people or force these things down their throats; instead, as the Lord creates interest and people ask questions, be ready with Scripture to bring them to a knowledge of what the book is trying to say.
