What does it mean that believers are seated with Christ in heavenly places?
This position means God considers believers already raised and seated with Christ in the heavenlies because they believed the gospel. It is by grace, not merit, making them citizens of heaven, in His presence, and waiting for Christ to take them to Himself.
Les teaches that when Christ was on the cross, in the tomb, and rose from the dead, God saw believers there with Him. Paul brings out that believers have been resurrected out of deadness and made to sit together in the heavenlies. Even when we were dead in sins, God quickened us together with Christ. This seating is not by human merit but by grace, so believers are special in God's sight. Because they are already citizens of heaven, they need not fear death, and believing loved ones who have died are already in His presence. They now wait for Christ to come and take them to Himself.
