By what means does a person receive justification?

Justification is received by faith, by believing the gospel that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. When a person believes with all their heart, God does everything on their behalf. Scripture declares we are justified by faith and have peace with God through Jesus Christ.

Les explains that when a person recognizes they are a child of Adam, the means of receiving justification is by believing the gospel—that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. The moment we believe that with all our heart, God does everything on our behalf. Justification means 'just as if we've never sinned' by virtue of taking God at His Word. Les emphasizes being justified by faith, and then we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this glorious state as a believer in relationship with the Creator Himself.
