Les Feldick Bible Study

When does God justify a person and on what basis?

God justifies a person the moment they believe the work of the cross, by virtue of His shed blood. He declares them just as if they never sinned. This justification is an act of God, not something earned by human merit or behavior.

Les teaches that this justification occurs the moment we believe the work of the cross. He explains that God has justified us by virtue of His shed blood and has declared us just as if we never sinned. Les notes that Scripture repeats this so we will understand it and not be in a fog about it. He also says that being constantly aware we are a justified person has a psychological impact and should affect our daily behavior; if it does not, something is wrong. Justification is therefore God's act, and it must have an effect on behavior.
