What happens after death according to Les?
After this life ends, an eternity follows. Every person will live in eternity someplace—either in God's presence or out of His presence. Death does not end existence; it leads into that eternal state. Most people are ignorant of this coming eternity and have never considered it.
Les teaches that most people are totally ignorant of an eternity to come. He illustrates this by recalling someone who, when asked what would happen after death, guessed, 'Going to hell,' but did not know what they were saying; others say they have never thought about it. Les stresses that after this life ends—whether it lasts 10, 80, or 100 years—there is an eternity. We will live in eternity someplace, either in God's presence or out of His presence. He connects this to grace: if it is of grace, we must keep our hands off it and let it be totally the unmerited favor of God. The promise is sure to all the seed, not only those of the law but also those of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all spiritually because he walked by faith without law and without circumcision, coming out of idolatry.
