Does the Church have earthly promises?

No, the Church does not have earthly promises. According to the context, everything connected with the nation of Israel is earthly, but everything connected with the Body of Christ, the Church, is heavenly. Grace Age believers have only heavenly promises, not earthly ones.

Les teaches that there is nothing heavenly connected with the nation of Israel; it is all earthly. Then when we come to the New Testament and the Body of Christ, or the Church, everything is heavenly. He says, "We have no earthly promises, it's all heavenly." Les contrasts these two anti-climactic principles: with the nation of Israel everything is earthly; when He sets Israel aside and calls out a heavenly people, it is all with heavenly promises. He emphasizes never to lose sight of that: everything concerning the nation of Israel is earthly, everything concerning the Body of Christ, or Grace Age believers, is heavenly. Les also explains that Paul by inspiration uses Abraham as an example of faith, still appropriate for New Testament believers, even though Abraham is part of the Old Testament program. Abraham is the father of the Jewish people genetically through Isaac, Jacob, and the twelve sons. After the Abrahamic covenant, in chapter 12, God promises Israel a nation of people, a geographical area of land, and one day a government.
