How does disrupting God's plan for Israel affect God's plan of salvation?
Disrupting God's plan for Israel would disrupt His full plan of salvation, because the Redeemer had to come through that nation. Although Israel still produced the Messiah, Satan now attacks Israel to prevent God's prophetic program from being fulfilled, since Israel's disappearance would leave prophecy unfulfilled and make the Book a lie.
Les teaches that Satan has continually tried to thwart God's plan of redemption by destroying the people through whom the Redeemer must come. If Satan could disrupt God's plan for the nation of Israel, he would thereby disrupt God's full plan of salvation. Since Israel still produced the Messiah, Satan's later goal is to disrupt God's prophetic program. If Israel suddenly disappeared, prophecy would be left hanging on a string and the book would be a lie. The Satanic thrust is therefore to destroy Israel so God's prophetic word cannot be fulfilled. Les also notes this does not make the Israeli government or the Jew perfect; the Jew is not perfect and is just as much a son of Adam as anyone, and their government is corrupt like any other.
