Why will a believer with no reward still be saved?

A believer with no reward is still saved because salvation is based on faith, not on works. Works determine reward, and if a believer’s works are burned, he suffers loss of reward but not loss of salvation; Scripture says he himself shall be saved.

Les explains that when a believer’s work is burned, he suffers loss—not of salvation, but of reward. He will have no reward, yet he himself shall be saved, and many such believers will be in glory. Because there is no sin, sin nature, Satan, envy, or jealousy in glory, those without reward will not be jealous of those who have reward. Their salvation was based on faith, not on deserving works; works determine reward and encourage a fruitful life. Those rewards will be enjoyed for all eternity.
