What do believers become when God transforms and forgives them?

When God transforms and forgives believers, they become a symphonic work of art, a thing of beauty, and His workmanship. They are a unique creation of the only Creator, made new persons in Christ Jesus. This salvation is as great a work of creation as the universe, and it results in good works, not salvation by works.

Les explains that just as a composer brings many notes and instruments together into beautiful music, so God transforms believers into a symphonic work of art. When God makes a person a child and forgives them, they become something with everything put together—a thing of beauty. Believers are His workmanship, the result of the eternal God's work because they believe. This is a unique creation of the only Creator, as great a miracle as when God created the universe. God expects the believer to perform good works, but not for salvation; those good works are a result of salvation.
