How did Abraham respond when God told him to leave?

Abraham obeyed God's command to leave his country, his kindred, and his father's house and go to the land God would show him. Scripture records that he did it, and his response was rooted in faith, making the break from the idolatry around him.

Les explains that God in His grace reached down to one man, Abraham, in the idolatrous home and pagan city of Ur, much like He later reached Saul on the road to Damascus. The command was to get out of his country, from his kindred, and from his father's house, in order to break with idolatry, and go to a land God would show him. Abraham did it, and his response was faith.
