How was the mystery of Christ made known to Paul?

The mystery of Christ was made known to Paul by revelation, which means an unveiling of something previously kept under wraps. The Lord made known unto him the mystery, the secret, as he wrote before in a few words, so that when read, his knowledge in the mysteries of Christ could be understood.

Les explains that revelation means an unveiling—something kept under wraps is suddenly unveiled. Paul says the Lord made known unto him the mystery, the secret, as he wrote before in a few words, so that when read, his knowledge in the mysteries of Christ may be understood. This mystery was not made known in other ages or generations unto the sons of men as it is now revealed, namely that the Gentiles should come in under God's grace. It is the fellowship of this mystery, hidden from the beginning of the world, from Adam, in God, the same God who created everything through Jesus Christ. There was a time when no one knew these things.
